Afternoon Summer Camp (June 15-19, 2026 12:30-3:00pm)

$150.00

Join us in the historic Quartermaster building at 21st and Woolworth Avenue in Omaha as we take a break from screens to learn new things. The study of plants is called botany. We will learn what different plants do to help us. Many wild growing plants are medicinal and edible (many are not) and there are ways to tell the difference. We will learn some of those, though we will not be eating wild growing plants in this class and we will talk about why we don’t randomly eat plants, too.

Many plants can help our skin. We will learn about those  and then we will use the food items we get from those plants to make body products that help soften our skin or remove oil from our skin, etc. Ever wanted to make your own body scrubs but were nervous to do it on your own? Here’s the perfect time to try it! We will help you and provide the ingredients and containers. All materials will be provided. Just bring your water bottle, a willingness to learn, and to have fun.  Ages 8-13 welcome (Special needs accommodated, please contact instructor directly, at April@classrethink.com)
