Join us in the historic Quartermaster building at 21st and Woolworth Avenue in Omaha for low tech learning. Do you love words? Do people find you loquacious? Is your verbosity exhausting to those around you? Welcome! Join us to study morphology for a fun-filled week of learning the history of English words and their meanings. This actually helps with studies in science of many types (biology of all types, including medicine, and linguistics - the study of languages). If you don’t realize you love language, you still may love this week of learning. Once you unlock the wonders of word building, it all may begin to make sense to you! Each student will create a set of flash cards to take home with their favorite word parts to practice and remember (these will be laminated).
All materials are provided. Just bring a water bottle and a desire to learn and have fun. Ages 8-13 welcome. (Special needs can be accommodated, reach out to the instructor directly at April@classrethink.com.)
